traffic lights in life

These fans reminds me of traffic lights. I've tried to animate the movements with the fan. So during the flipping of the two sides we get a little animation of the fish moving. These look stunning on a white wall and modern style houses. The bamboo handles still giving it a traditional flavor in the craftsmanship and gives a sense of organic feel to the art.

Names and meanings for the fans:

Red: 'Blossom for a friend'. I was hoping that the receiver of this piece would find someone that would blossom to a new spring in life, for friendship or love.

Green: 'Side by side'. This is for couples that value the harmony of being together from the beginning to the end.

Blue: 'Thrashing'. This is for people that love movement, and are energetic about there life. The orange carp is a symbol of prosperity so its also a good item to give to someone that is starting a new business.
