This painting was my first experiment with Discus fish. I discovered how to utilize contrasting colours in my art. Because discus are really detailed with the patterning on their body surface, its important to create contrast with each fish to make it stand out from the messy foliage backgrounds . Since the i didn't have gold paper at that time, there was not much room for making mistakes. I hope you all like this piece.
