Painted in Australia and framed to live in Taiwan. Love how all my clients are messaging back with a lovely space for their homes. #feelingblessed #friendship

Coming back with folds and ideas with my flowers I hope to work on a piece that plays with these ideas in my next big piece. #origami #modularorigami #art #sculpture

A 50th birthday present commissioned from a good friend. Titled "the vessel" three peonies that symbolise their three children. The vase showing cracks and vulnerabilities, but with gold they persevere and make the family stronger. The number 3 is repeated through out the painting, reminding the children that together they make a bigger and better picture as a family . Like the vase, the parents are always out of the way to bless and let their children grow, hence vase is placed aside instead of being the center piece. The stamps are the family symbols and also used as a sun in the painting, has a synonym to the word yang which is the family name of the friend. The painting is on wood board and medium is ink and water with acrylic. #commissionart #aucklandart #contemporarypainting #contemporaryart #familyheirloom
