Been a while since i painted big!
Thanks to the courtesy of my church i got to use up the hallway to do my painting. The painting is 10 meters in length and would cost a arm and a leg to frame this baby up. I really want this to go somewhere, but just thinking a place to place it would be almost trying to do the impossible.
first meter of the painting started off with a anchor with a large stone on the bottom edge. Then the mist picked up with the wind.
The wind carried through and began to hit the mountain, dividing into a web that weaves through the edges.
after the wind stalls as it collects the clouds under a larger wall of stone and trees.
The landscape is then pushed against the horizon pulling the landscape into a perspective with depths of shade.
The shade is then defined by the edges of the white clouds
The clouds once again slow down as more walls of stone appear obstructing the wind. The trees point below to move the eyes down the painting.
As the edges form extreme darkness the white in the clouds are also pulled forward to balance out the painting .
Finally the eyes are put to rest with a stone that edges out the painting.
clouds rap around the mountain to complete the circle to move eyes back to the left again.
The whole picture seen as one.
