New Zealand Landscape

Last week me and my parents went on a trip to Karekeke Falls in the Waitakere ranges. Heaps of long streams with a lot of large stones entwined with young foliage around the cracks. I realized that nature has a growing pattern with plants and changes with the seasons. This also has to do with where plants are situated, the shaded areas have less plantation and would grow slower than areas with sun. The closer to the water source the greener the vegetation. Usually the base of the stone would be covered in dirt or grim, then on top would have algae or grass. Then as you go higher up you would see small bush plants, then you get tress that provide shelter and the stones create wind barriers. Hence everything plays a role in helping nature grow. It is up to the artist to pick up these thing along the line when observing.
